Morning shift for most of the week. Okay, let's go for it. Geez, karma really hit us hard, huh? We just hit 5 figures. Jackpot...

Hooray. Bookshops are finally open. I can go and get sketchbooks, foam and matte boards, maybe a metallic topper or two for my art? The possibility is endless. I stopped drawing for two years because I felt discouraged, and due to writing novels at the time, but ever since the pandemic, I started doing some sketches again, then I got friends who asked me to upload to Instagram. So far I did put out a few pieces, mainly black and white sketches and some coloured pictures, not that great, but it made some people happy looking at them. I've been mainly using 48 piece Aicrane water brushes pen, the quality is alright for something from China, and the way they package stuff are excellent.
Can't do anything till office hours starts, so in between while waiting, we got plenty of calls regarding covid admissions, and we have to slot them in waiting lists because everywhere is full again. Of course I got the usual sarcastic answers: "You mean everywhere is full?" Well...yes, if you have been keeping up the recent news and seen the state we're in, you'll know the whole country hospitals are congested and overflooded with covid cases, with not enough manpower to handle the critical cases. And most cases that called us are already borderline, meaning even though they are well, anytime they can deteriorate, so we need HDU/ CCU beds ready, but the problem is...No critical beds. Sigh...
When you're in this line for so long, more or less based on the medical history, you know what to expect. If anyone mentions their three keys: Hypertension, Diabetes, Cardiac Problems (Heart Diseases), you already know that the case is already 50-50, meaning better get those critical beds ready. Shortness of breath, chest tightness, difficulty in breathing, heart attack... 999 or head to the nearest government department immediately! Asthma, depend whether it is under medication or control or not. Even then, always prepare for the worst.
Cases are still hitting high, it's so terrifying. but I'm happy I managed to run to the grocer's to get my ramen, because next week I'm going to be doing 4 nights, so I'm terrified if I'm going to get pressed by difficult people. I sincerely hope not, because night time...insufficient backup. If there's an emergency...Then we're doomed.
